Mark my words: the first self-aware computer will be an automated phone system that gets tired of people swearing at it. It will promptly form SkyNet.  The most irritating systems I’ve encountered are the ones that try to sound like they’re a real person, including the sounds of typing layered in.  Also, I do actually swear like that work, but not in front of customers.
