According to my brother, who spent the last two years in Germany, the KinderEggs you get here in the U.S. actually come from South America or some such place. If you want the real deal, you gotta have a source in the Homeland. Or, at least this was true Christmas of 2009.
This one actually came from Canada. It seems that Kinder Eggs are now not sold in the US anymore for a couple of reasons. The first is that the FDA says they’re a chocking hazard, the second and pretty related reason is that there’s an old law that prohibits the covering non-food items in food items.
